I'm not familiar with the other iris you mentioned that you saw
but Sterling Stitch is one of Sterling Innerest's plicatas. Wonderful cultivar
(get the name?? Sterling--Sterling---??? It's one of his things--)
He's a greatperson, funny speaker, ideal for a club program. Lives in
York, Pa. Fantastic wife, too. They grow orchids, too. She collects
iris memoreabelia.... wow. everything in their house has an iris on it,
everything... they are great to visit if your group ever takes a tour up
that way. The convention was there very recently so there will be some
great gardens, also.
But Sterling Stitch is hardy and hell, great branching, fantastic stock.
His stuff is all worth looking into.
