     I too am not a purist but I try. The mason bee and honey bees in this
area have been seriously affected by pests and pesticides. The Bee Keepers
Club in our area are working very hard to educate and encourage the people in
our area to be more judicious with what chemicals are used and when and the
amout. Makes good sense to me!
     Does this mean I should stop weeding so the bees will have the weed bloom
to work on inbetween apple and pear blossum? No it sounds too scary!
     I found an unitentified reticulata while in Boise this past week. It is a
dark red-purple with a large whits mark on the falls and tiny freckles. Anyone
have a guess as to what it's name might be?
