Yesterday was kind enough to bring the first bloom of the sesaon for me.
Blooms were open on:
Secret Prince (SDB)
Jewel Baby (SDB)
Stalks were visible on:
Little Showoff, Chubby Cheeks, Molten Lava, Pumpin' Iron, and Fibber (all
SDB)
Lady Emma (MTB), Blessed Again (IB)
Even with our cold blast, the only damage resulting in rot was a couple of
fans of Oktoberfest.
It has always been a cold sensitive variety for me. There was also rot on
Lightning Streak, but
it was planted after October 1. It is now recovering in a well drained pot,
with some TLC.
