I have to say WOW. I know this sounds corny, but I've really almost
forgotten what rain is like. We had our last halfway decent rain in
October last year and we are currently in the worst drought conditions for
40 years. One of the major irrigation rivers in the state is expected to
stop flowing within the next couple of weeks (last time it happened was 40
years ago).

The thought of being underwater for 3 or 4 days sounds so totally alien at
the moment. Does anyone else out there get a buzz out of reading about
what's happening to people on the other side of the world? I still find it
amazing to be "talking" to people who are under snow (Juri) and all the
rest of the US people who've had their snow, rain, tornados and ice storms.
It is most certainly the extreme opposite end of the scale to here!!

Expecting over 30'C again tomorrow. Not bad for April. :-)
