Hi all,
I've just planted my first TB seeds! AND I managed to get them into
their containers without mixing up the name tags.
3/4 of my seeds have spent 8 weeks in the 'fridge. After a 3 day
soaking, I wrapped them in moist peat moss, and put them in little
sandwich bags, with their name tags.
The seed coat was quite soft after this time, you could easily scrape it
of with your fingernail, and at least 2 seeds were obviously
germinating.
The other 1/4 of my seeds had not been soaked or refrigerated, and it
will be interesting to observe the difference between the two groups.
(Yes, I marked which were which)
Only around 400 seeds in all, I'll be a bit more ambitious next season.
Jan Clark, in Australia, waiting for those seedlings to push up through
the soil.
