There is an Arilbred named TRIBE OF JUDAH bred by Gene Hunt and registered
by Sharon McAllister after Gene passed on. It was introduced in 1984 and is
described in the R&I as OGB+, 28.5", E-M, S. lilac flushed golden brown
over lower third with darker brown midrib, F. golden brown, dark brown spot
breaking into stripes and veins at the edge, mustard beard.
It would be contrary to the rules of registration for two irises to validly
share the same name, even if they are of different types.
