RE: HYB: Pollinating iris...was question


Rick, I beg to differ.  It may be very difficult for a bee to pollinate a
tall bearded iris but beepods are very common for the medians.  Given that I
cut bloom stalks very late, I have seen the occasional beepod on a TB but
the SDBs, MDBs and fertile IBs almost always have beepods.  I germinated the
seeds from the beepod of PINK PELE (IB) this year.
