Hmmmm, well this is a bit of a puzzle.  

I you dig them up them you are likely to lose this years bloom, unless you can
dig a big earth ball with them. If you do that, just put them in a hole
somewhere else till dividing time this summer. You will get some of your bloom
at least. (Since they have been in the same place for 3-4 years it is probably
time to divide them this summer anyway)

Unless the termite people are going to cut right through the clump, I'd be
tempted to just leave it in place. They might cut some roots or even some
rhizomes, but the rest should be ok.

If you can't move them as a complete clump, take them in as big clumps as you
can. I would plant them somewhere else for the rest of this year. It is time
to replenish the soil where they are living anyway.

My humble opinion, I hope you get others to choose from as well.
