IRIS ANXIETY
by Kathy Guest (AKA Irisborer)
It's too cold,
It's too hot
I KNOW I'm getting iris rot.
It's been too dry,
It's been too wet
I haven't sprayed for borer yet.
Feed in the spring? Feed in the fall?
My talls are too short, my dwarfs are too tall,
My labels are gone, my map is a mess
I could have done more, I should have done less...
I will worry and fret, every day, all the time
Then my irises bloom
And the garden's sublime!
