Last time I looked iris were not listed on the label, so it is not legal to use
it on them in this country.
However, I have heard rumors that it is effective, as is the granular
fertilizer/systemic insecticide combo. I've even heard that Orthinex (sp?) spray
is effective (both insecticide and fungicide). I suspect that it is just the
expense of certifying a gazillion different plants that keeps iris from being
approved.
So, I certainly would not want to advocate any activity which is illegal in the
good old USA, but....
