Der Paul: We had an anxious night a week ago Friday. We watched the weather
reports assiduously. The worst storm hit just south of Raleigh, with many
homes damaged. Another struck just 15 miles north-east of Durham, damaging
some homes very badly and causing at least one casualty. This location is
called Bahama, pronounced Bah-hay-muh!  The terrible ones in Alabama passed
through here without making any tornados, and with very little rain. Lloyd
