Robert,
     I think that the Louisianas would be hidden by the Black Eyed Susans
and especially by Hemerocallis fulva.  In fact, H. fulva could overrun the
Louisianas.  In most plant beds, and especially in cooler climates, they
don't get tall enough for the effect you want.  It would probably be better
for you to use more Spurias, which are better suited to your Idaho climate.
