Given that many of the variegated plants we have result from a virus (and
this virus can actually be trasnferred from plant to plant by sap sucking
insects I've just found out recently ...... I've recently bought a
variegated abutilon and been warned to get rid of it as it is more than
likely that the variegation will be transferred to all my other ones......
this information was given to me by someone who is reputable and knows what
he is taling about.... actually and orchid genetics specialist). What I'm
trying to get at is that it is POSSIBLE (although not likely I'd imagine)
for something like this to occur.
