If the white iris under discussion were formerly various pastel colors of
different varieties that have somehow been poisoned or otherwise affected by
soil conditions, wouldn't the blooms still have different shapes and sizes
from each other? This is probably an incredibly stupid question, but I had
to ask.
Regarding New Snow, I can testify that it is an incredibly hardy plant, and
increases very rapidly. While strolling around Capital Hill over the
weekend I noticed big clumps of them blooming in several gardens. I can
easily imagine that it would squeeze out more delicate plants.
