Anner, I believe this will work. I also believe it would work to take a
mature rhizome, slice it up willynilly and toss it by the handful into the
centipede in my front lawn. I have fifteen young irises sprouted out there
right now, produced by just this method, although unintentionally. How they
wiggled through the thick centipede thatch to the dirt is quite a little
source of amazement to me.
