Dear Janice: It means that I pumila and its derivatives do not grow well in
hot climates. I am trying to find ways of making pumilas grow well here.
They are not difficult to grow in more mortherly climates. I got some from
Ben Hager and they did not do as well as those from Indiana and
Massachusetts. I think CA nights must be cooler than here in summer. You
will not understand all messages but I am glad to reply. If you want to ask
more, give me a personal. But, it is right in the midst of early tall
