Re: CULT: pollen count

I was crossing some LA's today but am very much a novice at this. When I got to
Mrs Ira Nelson, I could not seem to get any pollen off the anther. I tried
several anthers of a first-day and a second-day bloom. Is this common? I have
not yet learned to appreciate and differentiate a good parent from a poor parent
but anticipated that the problems would be with pod parent sterility.

Any comments or advice appreciated.
