I've seen some this spring on plants that had been sprayed with soap to
kill aphids. It was mostly the outermost leaves that were affected. I
figured it was a cumulative effect of frost and then having the waxy
"bloom" stripped off by surfactant.
We also have some trapped water inside the layers of big, big fans - not
cupped, but insinuated into the leaf. I figured this for frost damage, too.
