I don't know if there's any lifecycle to break. I didn't have irises before
July of '97. I prefer not to spray for pests that aren't even there. Am I
going to regret that decision??? >>
Hi again Dennis,
I would not spray for borers until you see some signs. Borers are very common
in my region but I was growing iris for 6 years before I found my first one
(last summer).
I feel garden cleanup and keeping a vigilant watch on the iris patch is the
best defense for right now. The Cygon 2E is just so nasty to have to use it
is the last line of defense. Good luck to you.
