Hello Dennis, we have had iris on this place since 1985 and last year was the first
time we ever found a borer and those we did find we brought in with other people's
iris! :( We threw away (burned) hundreds of dollars of iris last year due to the
borer. We now spray and will continue to do so even if we see no sign of the
little critters, all it takes is one little fly. Good luck and pay attention for
the signs, this is something we got careless about.
