I hope all folks with borer problems take heed of the results posted by Bill
and Ian concerning sanitation!  I don't (as yet) have a borer problem but am
heartened to read that good sanitation of debris is still the best offense
at a vulnerable stage in the borer's life cycle

I still am puzzled at the popularity of Cygon, because it never had much
more than a mediocre reputation as a larvacide in the row-crop business.
(Its effectiveness as a systemic is oversold.)
