Re: Destructive Deer and Wallabies

Not as fast as kangaroos, to my knowledge, although they should produce
one young per year. They don't hang around in packs but are solitary
creatures so it's hard to tell how many there are around. Trouble is
they browse instead of grazing, and think nothing of grabbing the branch
of a plum tree, pulling it down and breaking it, then eating all the
leaves. They love rose leaves, and had a nibble at a siberian iris (just
an attempt to get irises in there folks!) but they don't bother the
TB's.
Like your deer, they tend to get run down by cars.
