Here the native burr clover clearly has a symbiotic relationship with some
plants, esp. native buffalo grass. As soon as the clover burns off in the
heat, usu. by early to mid-May, depending on weather. The clover is gone
until the following spring and those plants which follow clearly thrive in
places where the clover grew thick as compared to those areas where it
did not grow.
