This message you forwarded is, like most that end with something like
"Send this to everyone you know," in part an urban legend. Check out:

find out more" link. Many of the stated "facts" are fabrications. 

But the advice not to re-enter the car is real.

BTW, static is not a significant problem when humidity is high.
