vinegar mixed into the water will lower the PH. I am a birdbreeder and we use
organic apple cider vinegar in the drinking water to lower the PH. By
reducing or lowering the PH it reduces bacteria and fungus. I used an
aquarium test kit to test my tap water here on Long Island and it has a PH of
7. I also tested the rain water and it was below 5 (went right off the
scale). Funny that you should bring this subject up. I was thinking about it
today in regards to the drought and it's effect on the PH and irises.
