I grew them for years in an old washtub on legs.  They thrived and bloomed
better than they ever did planted in the garden.  They've nearly all
dwindled away now since they were planted in the beds.  The tub has been put
to other uses now, so when these are finally gone, that's it.  If I decide
to grow them again, I would plan on a large container to hold them.  They
did better.  Even when they did well in the ground, they never looked as
good as they did growing in the container.   It suited them.
