Iris From Seed

Hi...I am an avid iris lover...although a novice iris grower. I have
several seed ponds that have developed on my iris and would like to
know how to grow them from seed. Do you harvest the seeds and let
them dry until the following spring and then plant as you would the
rhizomes? I have done the same for daylillies and have found that it
takes about two years to come to flowering. Would this be the same
for iris?
