Linda,
Next spring try breaking off the flowers that you are going to use and
take them in the house put them in water for the anthers to get fluffy . Then
make you crosses
on freshly opened flowers. If for some reason you can't make the cross ! I
put the anthers in 7 day pill holders from the drug store . I put tape on the
out side and use a
marker to put the iris names on . Some times the iris we want to use blooms
later !
Ed Roberts told me to do this and my percentage of takes went up. Thanks too
a good friend !!!! I will post some of my favorite pollen and pod parents.
