Hi Doris and Louise,
I agree 100% about the llama mature. It is wonderful!! I used it in a
few new beds 3 and 4 years ago, and planted them full of siberian and
japanese irises. They did beautifully. And as you mentioned Doris, no
evidence of burning at all. I tried to put the manure deep in the bed,
with the fresh soil on top of it. I was pretty liberal with it in the
beds. I got mine from one of our local iris club members, and in
addition to getting free manure, I had a great time watching the llamas,
especially the babies. They are incredibly cute. And all of them were
so gentle. Soooooo, Louise, if you have the chance, RUN - don't walk
to get that llama manure. You will be happy you did.
