Hi all,
The color names that come from several different
"systems of standardizing color", are pretty precise
and I think extremely useful. Too bad Ridgeway costs
so much!!
If hybridizers/describers of iris said OK, some folks
don't want "weird" color names -- we'd lose
information. If you don't like a weird color name,
you could always, as some small iris catalogs that
sell historics do, rename it "reddish purple" or
whatever it looks like to you.
Gesine
who really loves the weird color names!
