Lemon scented iris

I had grown a wonderful lemon scented iris about 10 years ago in up-state
Connecticut. My neighbor had given it to me, so I have no idea where it came
from. It was fairly tall, and as I remember was bearded. I smelled exactly
like Lemon Joy dish detergent. I left it at the house when I moved, since I
was going into a rental and assumed I could find the cultivatar again. No
luck! Do you have any idea what it could have been? The area was also fairly
shady and damp, but it seemed quite happy.
