I, too, use alfalfa meal. As Rosalie mentioned earlier, it is very
dusty, so it should be applied on a windless day and immediately tilled
into the soil. I prefer meal over pellets for a couple reasons: 1) meal
is cheaper, and 2) meal blends more evenly and thoroughly into the soil.
