Try everything and maybe some of it will work. I got a huge bag of hair
from the shop that cut my hair. I sprinkled a large amount around the edge of
the garden. This was in the spring after the deer ate my seed pod. It didn't
work for me.
My neighbor tied bars of soap to the fence around her garden this spring.
Regular height fence. It didn't work.
Three summers ago I was spraying daylily pods with liquid fence. I was
leaving for a trip and went to spray the clump (extra & fresh) before I left . .
. only to find the pods gone. Ida's Magic! I've not made the cross again.
Same summer as the iris pod.
I think our herd of deer are just determined. They eat off my back steps.
Several have been harvested but too many still remain.
It's been suggested that something like a motion sensitive object (think
Billy Bass the talking fish) would deter them, but I've not found one yet. A
battery operated version.
