water pump is working well, but it is making an ugly grinding noise..... not a good sign. still not real sure what that was in her box..... not missing any pieces or parts from anything around here, (that we can figure out) round metal disc like object sounds like a ufo to me :-). gotta love those UFO reports, am sure we will here if yours turns out to be anything other than a stray rocket. Good luck with the monsoon season.

Wow!! 17,000. I know your place looked not crowded and great, so glad to know it's more than 10,000. I hope your water is fixed.Other Linda (Prescott) mention she had some round metal part in her shipmentand wondered if it was a piece from the water system??I think we made national news w a UFO in our little town. It landed in the river, which is at flood stage, so we'll know more when the water goes down.We really think it was some kids playing w a rocket they built. Maybe Linda's thing was a UFO. Am I thinking correctly?? What do you big growers allow or count on an acre supporting?? We use the alpaca manure to make the best compost in which to plant the iris (along with alfalfa pellets, steamed bonemeal, trace minerals needed in our soil.) The alpacas have not eaten the iris, at least not in the 8 years we have had alpacas. Our fiber sheep before that didn't touch the iris either. Some chicken damage to early leaves, but I'm down to one hen who will not stay in the chicken yard. Deer didn't bother the iris in the years before we wereheavily deer fenced, but I am beginning to hear about deer damage to iris, including a TV news report showing pictures of iris leaves with the topseaten of at Hayden Village, ID. I have a great picture of my stud MacLeod standing beside a large row of iris--'Seakist,' 'Siverado," and 'Skylark'sSong' can be seen. If you are curious, we plant alphabetically since we have a large number of iris.
