Laurie,

There is suppose to be an article in French, dated 1923, that compares
Honorabile and Sans Souci. written by Seraphin Mottet called Les Iris
Cultives.

Anner seems to have studied this iris in detail, also.  We haven't heard
from her in a long time.
I have her article, I ordered from the Historical society,  but have not
totally read, nor comprehended the mix up over this iris.

Maybe she's still on line and can sort out some of this.

By the way, Sans Souci in French means "without care" p. 65 of Mahan's Book,
for those of you that don't know French like me.

Oops, I forgot about those pics.  I have to have them removed from DG
because Phil E. has informed me that my iris is NOT Sans Souci.
Unfortunately, he is unable to ID that iris for me.
