	I am so sad to hear about Mike's passing.  We spoke not long ago and
he was hoping and fighting.  
	The iris world has lost another good man.  We will miss him and our
prayers go out to his family and to you, his good friend.

As many of you are aware, one of our long time list members, Mike
Greenfield,
has been battling cancer.
With great sadness, I am dropping this note to let everyone know that today
at
1:00 pm, Mike passed away.
Mike approached irises as well as most other things in life with a great
deal
of enthusiasm and wonder. Those
so inclined should step out to their garden, pause for a moment in
remembrance. He was a good friend and will
be missed.

I will post arrangements when they are available.
