Sounds like you are just growing nice healthy, California style rhizomes. Many
will tell you to hang them up to dry before you replant them, but if
everything is healthy, what the hey, stick them back in the ground and go for
it.

As a gentle nudge, Sharon, why not add your location and zone to your
signature? That way you could get better answers to questions. For instance if
you are in a hot humid place that gets lots of rain and is about to turn into
winter, maybe you should dry out your rhizomes, but there is no way to know
where you are.
