To Ellen, Gay and others who suggested a scarecrow...these crows are not even
afraid of human beings. They will only fly if you get close enough to grap
them...so I don't think a scarecrow will work. But maybe if I put one in the
compost bins it would keep them out of there...at it is the compost bins that
is their main attraction. Now I have to talk my wife into having a scarecrow
in the back garden! Should have thought of this myself, since I saw the
Wizard of Oz many times and grew up on a farm . Clarence Mahan in VA
