Stealing Irises

I like the story told by Mike Moeller in Fredericksburg last spring:
When the Loomis Test Garden started - Mike had received a shippment of 
SDB's from Monty Byers. He had planted them, but several days later, they 
were all gone.  Since Mike figured it had to be somebody in the housing 
development nearby, he decided to dig up clumps of older SDB's,put them 
in paper bags, and place them on every door step of every house in this 
development.  He has never had any problem since.

Of course, Monty was gracious and send replacements for the garden.
