Moss grows because the soil is too moist and/or not enough drainage. Of
course you can not control the rain, but you can work on the drainage.
If nothing more than wearing an old pair of golf shoes or anything with
cleats. Use it when cutting the lawn also - the idea is to get the soil
to breath better. As you replant beds, dig deeply, and use agents to
break up the soil. I try not to walk in the beds after a rain - compacts
the soil too much. Try the shoes. You can also apply lime directly on
the moss, or of course, use the scrape method.
