Even before Larry posted this, but especially afterwards, I was thinking how
nice it is that AIS is out there and that there are so many actively involved
iris nuts and iris nut hybridizers growing all those gorgeous iris for those
of us not as actively involved to gripe about the awards system.  Based on
the old tradition of not putting a curse on the iris plants, I wouldn't THINK
of thanking  Larry for his offer.  But I don't think there's any tradition to
keep me from being grateful - I just can't tell him, right?
