One of my most useful gardening CDs is called "The Ultimate Garden
Tool". Basically it is a collection of documents from agricultural
extension agencies, plant societies and private organizatiosn. It has a
builtin search function, so if you type in a query like "green bugs" you
will get a list of documents relating to pests that are green. And it
covers annuals, perennials, landscape design, water gardening--everything
you can think of. I'm not sure of the price (mine was complimentary
because I designed the cover graphics) but you can try out a demo at
http://www.hortsoft.com.
BTW--I'm not pushing it because I have any financial interest in it--the
CD was my whole payment. I am recommending it because I've found it
incredibly useful.
