I don't have the answers to such questions, but unfortunately it sometimes
happens. Thieves struck Gene Hunt's garden DURING his funeral services when
they knew no one would be there. They took almost all of the arils -- probably
because they'd seen them blooming.

I've heard that, too, and that's probably just what happened to these. The
vacancy that broke my heart was that of the tetraploid korolkowii.
