Re: Electors

Clarence -- I hope you don't stop talking about your offspring, your children,
your siblings, and etc. It's a very curious thing to learn how the mind
of a hybridizer thinks -- just why one sibling is chosen over another --
because it has to be a very subjetive decision. It is YOUR decision that
determines whether or not we growers will get to evaluate it, but our
experience is vastly differnt from the hybridizer's!! For some, it's a
"I'll know it when I see it" reaction, and there are others like yourself
who have definite criteria which force the decision and then, it seems, you
are very confident of that decision. I keep waiting for hybridizers to
put words to the experience of choosing -- maybe listening to hybridizers
would help train the eye/mind to see what's truely good! On the one hand,
good is one that grows well, on the other, it's pattern on the bloom.

I'm listening very closely to your nuggets, Clarence... hope you don't pull
back --
Carolyn Schaffner
