It's obviously not iris season here in Washington where even the
Japanese irises have bloomed, but a botanical trip to DC is not complete
without taking in the National Arboretum on New York Ave. in northeast
DC. The showpieces are the extensive azalea and rhododendron hillsides
and the Bonsai displays. There should also be quite a lot blooming in
"Fern Valley", the woodland area. Hope you enjoy it -
