Jim - The experience in Roanoke (and I'm sure plenty other places)has
been that you do increase the membership rolls, but you do not increase
the membership - the real ones who attend meetings, help on projects etc.
Just Ask some of the big societies like C&P and FSK...
In the years since I've been a member, no one has stayed more than one
year when you "Cut Bargains". Time will tell.
