Somebody handed me a rhizome this spring and asked if I'd like it.
I accepted but when I asked what species it was she said she didn't
know. It definitely is a rhizome shaped like a bent cigar which
sits on top of the soil like the TB ones. It has red flesh on the
inside. It hasn't produced flowers this year. It is NOT either I
versicolor or I pseudacorus both of which I have. Could anyone tell
me what other possibilities there are keeping in mind that it
survives in this Zone (4/5)?
