Markers

Did someone say markers? In digging several hundred iris to take to our plant
sale in recent years I have found that by using paint markers (buy them at Walmart,
Kmart, or any department store; they look like a pen put write with paint instead of
ink) I can safely soak my dug iris in a bleach solution, dip in Terraclor, plant them
and still be able to read the name written on the iris till the plant looses the leaf.
I also use the paint markers to mark my plant tags with...after 2 years they are still
as clear as when first written. I have tried Testor brand paint markers found right
next to the models in the toy department...they work great, but I prefer a finer point.
The paint marker I like the best is sold at Walmart in the craft department and is a
_Speedball Painters Opaque Paint Marker_...has a nice fine point and many colors to
choose from!!!
