Chris asks:
Isn't that a little too much of generalization? There are many types and
mixtures of potting soils available. I have some recently acquired
Japanese Iris potted up and sitting in trays of water to help get the
root systems established.
What is the proper type of mixture to be using? I have used a mixture
containg sphagnum peat moss, vermiculite and perlite. Is this okay?? I
understood that the Japanese liked sphagnum peat moss.(and lots of
water)
