I have received an iris called Iris Chrysographes. It is supposed to be a black iris. I have not heard it mentioned since I have been on this list. The problem is this: I can not find anything about this iris, and I need your help about the type of soil, moist or dry, sun or shade, how deep to plant, etc. I don't even know whether it is hardy, or will grow in zone 5. Bottom line- I am completely ignorant about this plant. Any help with this will be appreciated. I know that I can count on you.
